Quick start

From a fresh account to your first real calls in about ten minutes — and why you should start with a handful, not the whole database.

The five steps

  1. 1
Add your contacts. Go to Contacts and import your list by CSV (or add a few by hand to test). Phone is the only must-have; a first name makes the calls personal. See the CSV format if you need it.
  2. 2
Make a small list to start. A campaign works one list — so under Listsmake a small one (10–20 contacts) for your first run, e.g. “First test – Manly”. The list is how you start small: only the people in it get called.
  3. 3
Create a campaign. Go to Campaigns → New campaign, name it, choose your list, and pick which stages to work. Saving just sets it up — it doesn't start any calls yet.
  4. 4
Turn it Working. Open the campaign and flip the Working / Off toggle (top right) to Working. That's the one switch that starts calls — the AI rings the people in the list, within calling hours, disclosing AI + recording on every call.
  5. 5
Listen, then widen. Watch results land in Leads and read a few transcripts. Happy with the voice and opener? Add the rest of your database to a bigger list (or this one) and let it run. Confidence first, volume second.

Why start with a small list

It lets you hear how the AI sounds with your brand, on your contacts, before it runs at volume. To grow, just add more contacts to the list — no per-person switches to flip.

Who gets called — the short version

A contact is called when all of these are true:

  • They're in the list a campaign works (this is your scope — start small here).
  • That campaign is Working (the top-right toggle).
  • Their current stage is switched on for that campaign.
  • They're not marked Do not call, and calling isn't paused account-wide.

The campaign's Overview spells this out in one sentence — e.g. “Working — calling contacts in First test who are at the Cold stage and haven't opted out.”

“Do not call” is for opt-outs

The switch on each Contacts row (and the bulk Do not callaction) is how you honour an opt-out — it removes someone from every campaign, permanently, until you allow them again. It's not how you start small; use a small list for that.

What to do next

  • Campaigns — set-up in detail, and when to run several instead of one.
  • Settings — your agency name, the AI's name, and call transfers.
